"నాలుగు సగం చిక్కిపోయిన వూళ్ళు ఆరిపోతున్న చలి నెగడు ముందు కూర్చొని, కట్టెపుల్లల చేతుల్ని నిప్పుల మీదికి తోస్తున్నాయి" "చరిత్ర చొక్కాని తిరగేసి తొడుక్కుంటున్నా, నన్ను దాచేసిన చిరుగు కంతల్లోంచి సూర్యుణ్ణి కంటున్నా." "కలల కళల మాయా దర్పణమా, కాసేపు పగిలిపో!" పైన నేను ఉటంకించిన అభివ్యక్తులు యివీ:

“నాలుగు సగం చిక్కిపోయిన వూళ్ళు ఆరిపోతున్న చలి నెగడు ముందు కూర్చొని, కట్టెపుల్లల చేతుల్ని నిప్పుల మీదికి తోస్తున్నాయి”

“చరిత్ర చొక్కాని తిరగేసి తొడుక్కుంటున్నా, నన్ను దాచేసిన చిరుగు కంతల్లోంచి సూర్యుణ్ణి కంటున్నా.”

(సంభాషణయినా పదునుగా ఉన్నా లేకున్నా పలకడానికి ఒక ఎస్వీరంగారావుంటే పట్టు అదే వస్తుంది. పలుకుతున్నవాడు కొత్తగా మొలిచిన పిల్లనటుడైతే?) ...పదనాద సమబంధం గుఱించి నాకు అంతటి అవగాహన లేకున్నా నాకెందుకో పాదాలుగా విడదీస్తేనే బాగుంటుందన్న భావన. ఈ భావన యండమూరి నవలల్లో అక్కడక్కడా కవితాత్మకంగా సాగే వాక్యాలు చదివిన నాటి నుంచి మాఱలేదన్న ప్రస్తావన సముచితమేమో. కానీ కవిత్వాన్ని మాత్రమే గమనిస్తే బోలెడంత కనిపిస్తోంది! <>
